The Western New York Lady Lakers is a nonprofit AAU basketball organization for players who desire to expand their talents beyond the opportunities provided during the traditional school/travel season. We have teams for girls age 11 through 17 and travel to tournaments from April through July. At the lower levels, teams compete largely at events in western New York. The upper level teams often play some local tournaments while also participating in the top tournaments on the east coast.
The Western New York Lady Lakers is the oldest AAU organization in western New York. For 27 years we have hosted a spring tournament exclusively for girls that averages 80 teams. It is our objective to promote excellence in women's basketball while developing character and sportsmanship in the athletes we serve.
Amateur Athletic Union (AAU)
The WNY Lady Lakers organization is an AAU member. The AAU is one of the largest, non-profit,
volunteer sports organizations in the United States that is dedicated exclusively to the promotion and
development of amateur sports
